weekend of 5-7 April at former RAF Binbrook,
using the callsign GB5BK.

This event was run to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the RAF receiving its first Typhoon on December 18th 2003.
To help commemorate this event the RAF Coningsby ARC members will be putting GX3LQS/P on the air from different locations during November & December for the Typhoons’ 20th anniversary.

We were back at the Newark Air Museum for the weekend of 16-17 September,
for the 60th anniversary of the museum’s Avro Vulcan XM594 entering RAF service in September 1963 at RAF Scampton.
Using the callsign GB0NAM, we made many contacts on HF (CW and SSB), and on 2m. Our thanks to those stations who took the time to contact us on what
was a very enjoyable weekend in fine weather. The Maidenhead/QRA locator for the museum is IO93OC and the WAB square is SK85.

“Wings and Wheels” event at the
International Bomber Command Centre this Sunday,
3rd September, using the callsign GB6IBC. We made a number of contacts with radio amateurs and would
like to thank all the stations who took the time to contact us. We were also able to promote amateur radio
to the many members of the publlic who visitied the station during the day!

A good time was had by all at the weekend’s Special Event Station at
Newark Air Museum’s Cockpit-Fest .
We operated mostly on HF (40m, 20m and 17m) as 2m was very quiet, using the SES callsign GB0NAM,
during a rather warm weekend! We would like to thank the stations we had contacts with, including
a number of stations activating museum sites for Museums on the Air.

weekend of 15th-16th April, 2023, for the museum’s Golden Jubilee event, celebrating the
50th Anniversary of the museum opening to the public, operating on HF bands with some operation on 2m.
