RAF Waddington Amateur Radio Club returned to former RAF Binbrook for Remembrance
Weekend SES over the weekend of 9-10 November, using the club callsign of G0RAF to
remember the brave crews who flew from RAF Binbrook.

RAF Waddington ARC ran a Special Event Station on the weekend of 10-11 August 2024 as part of
the Salute to the 40s Weekend event at the International Bomber Command Centre, Lincoln.
The callsign used was
GB6IBC, as is usual at IBCC, and we were operational between 08:00-17:00 BST on both days.
Operation was on HF (40 and 20m SSB), and 2m FM.

RAF Waddington ARC ran a Special Event Station GB0EEL on the
weekend of 2-3 August 2024 at former RAF Binbrook. This was the 70th
anniversary of the first test flight on 4th August 1954, from RAF Boscombe Down, of the English Electric P1A
(WG760), the type that was later to become the English Electric Lightning, piloted by English Electric’s chief
test pilot Wing Commander Roland Beaumont.

as they commemorated International Bomber Command Day on Thursday, 25th July with a Service of Remembrance. We were operational between
09:00-16:00 BST, operating on 40m and 2m FM.

RAF Waddington ARC returned to the International Bomber Command Centre for the weekend of 25-26th May
to run a Special Event Station using the callsign GB6IBC as part of
Juniper Fayre’s 50s and 60s weekend at the IBCC.

International Bomber Command Centre
on 19th May for their
Inspire Ride2024 at the IBCC
event, which this year paid tribute to the men of Stalag Luft III who took part in the ‘Great Escape’
in March 1944, 80 years ago..
