This is the website of the RAF Waddington Amateur Radio Club, based at the Pyewipe Inn, Lincoln, England.
We are a group of individuals from a wide variety of backgrounds and experience, all with a shared passion
for everything radio! Not sure what amateur radio is?
Find out all about it at the
Radio Society of Great Britain.
We hope you enjoy your visit to our site and look forward to meeting you on a club night or on the air.
A good time was had by all at the weekend’s Special Event Station at Newark Air Museum’s Cockpit-Fest .
We operated mostly on HF (40m, 20m and 17m) as 2m was very quiet, using the SES callsign GB0NAM,
during a rather warm weekend! We would like to thank the stations we had contacts with, including
a number of stations activating museum sites for Museums on the Air.
The club ran a Special Event Station, using the club callsign G0RAF, at the
Fir Park Transport Museum
Wings ’n Wheels Rally which made a very welcome return this year after a few years’ absence.
We returned to the Newark Air Museum during the
weekend of 15th-16th April, 2023, for the museum’s Golden Jubilee event, celebrating the
50th Anniversary of the museum opening to the public, operating on HF bands with some operation on 2m.
Members of RAF Waddington Amateur Radio Club activated the site of the former RAF Binbrook
airfield on the weekend of 1-2 April as part of Airfields on the
Air 2023.
