Special Event Station GB6IBC at International Bomber Command Centre, 10-11 August 2024

RAF Waddington ARC ran a Special Event Station on the weekend of 10-11 August 2024 as part of the Salute to the 40s Weekend event at the International Bomber Command Centre, Lincoln. The callsign used was GB6IBC, as is usual at IBCC, and we were operational between 08:00-17:00 BST on both days. Operation was on HF (40 and 20m SSB), and 2m FM.

This is a big event that generally attracts a large public attendance, giving us the chance to showcase amateur radio, while supporting the work of the centre, so contacts from interested radio amateurs were especially welcome.
