We returned to the Newark Air Museum during the weekend of 15th-16th April, 2023, for the museum’s Golden Jubilee event, celebrating the 50th Anniversary of the museum opening to the public, operating on HF bands with some operation on 2m.

Setup prior to the event was hampered somewhat by heavy rain showers, but that didn’t discourage the setup crew! They were duly rewarded for their efforts with bacon rolls provided by our chefs John (SWL) and Andrew (M0OOO), who kept us well fed throughout the weekend. The weather held for the anniversary weekend itself with the museum car park full to capacity at times with visitors, and we would again like to thank those stations who took the time to contact us. We will be back at the museum again in June for their Cockpit Fest!
