Mobile Operations in the 60’s & 70'

Many radio clubs have been unable to run their normal program of events during the Covid-19 pandemic and ours is no exception. However, on Friday the club’s traditional program of member’s talks was resumed in fine style by our chairman, Bob G3VCA.

Bob treated us to a fascinating talk about his early experiences in mobile radio, illustrated with photos of the various vehicles from which he operated mobile, and of homebrew equipment used. He also had actual hardware to show us, some of it still working! A fascinating talk reminding us of a time when you had to build your own kit.
